Tools - Hub Holder and Brake Balancer

This tool was made from an old front hub that had a crack halfway around the flange, a stiff bright steel plate was riveted and welded to take my 11" long conduit handle seen previously to fit on other tools.

Storage and weight were always a priority back in the days when you had to carry a multitude of bits and pieces as well as tools to fix any problem to get home. Having one handle for four tools was a much needed space saver.

Most of my early breakdowns without exception, were due to hub or half shaft failure, probably still one of the most likely causes of sending you home on a truck!

Another useful function on this tool is the adjustable round bar fitted to an elongated hole, to check that the brake shoes are concentric.
